Now hiring! We’ve begun the search process for a Chapter Coordinator to help us maintain our existing programs and establish our new Youth Outreach program. This is a paid part time position with a maximum of 40 hours per month commitment. This position is flexible with the ability to work from home. You would need all the necessary equipment to perform office tasks: computer, internet access and other professional office supplies.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Surfrider Foundation and its initiatives; preferably a member. You should be knowledgeable with Orange County and comfortable with public speaking and reaching out to schools throughout the county. USGBC-OC Annual Kick Off Event: Celebrate Sustainable Cities

Join the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Orange County Chapter to honor some of the most sustainable cities in our County. The Advocacy Committee has undertaken this inaugural awards program, featuring three finalist cities from the list of ten contenders. Aliso Viejo, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Dana Point, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente and Santa Ana are all being considered for Orange County’s “Eco-City Award” to be presented at the event. The top three cities selected have been invited to present an overview of the sustainability programs and policies that have given them the leading edge in green practices among the 34 Cities in the County of Orange.
