We will be hosting our first chapter mixer and meeting of the year on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:00 p.m.
Meet and mingle with fellow volunteers and activists. Food, drinks and entertainment will be provided. We will be planning for our Rockwater event in March and discussing our 2012 campaigns. Everyone is welcome to join in the planning. There are many volunteer opportunities available for 2012.
In our January meeting, Dr Jack Skinner and John Kappeler gave us an in depth look into the quality of the water we are surfing in.
Did you know that “safe” bacteria limits would result in 1 in 50 of us getting some sort of illness after swimming or surfing.
