Cleanup in the Santa Ana River Channel April 26 2014

Our Earth Day Cleanup was a big success. We will have details and pictures up soon

Coming up for Earth Day we will be partnering up with the Orange County Public Works and Watershed Authority to clean up inside the Santa Ana River Channel by the Talbert overcross in Fountain Valley. From there we will shuttle or walk down about 1/4 a mile and pick up as much litter as possible.
Were hoping to get 500 people in there on that day. Sign in is at 8:30 we will cleanup from 9 to 12 noon. We supply bags, gloves, water, and porta potties. You just need to bring your personal items like sunscreen and extra layers of clothing. If you are under the age of 18 contact us for a waiver, otherwise you can sign in at the event. We currently have 102 people signed up so 398 spots are available. Do you have a company that wants recognition for contributing to Earth Day? Do you have a suggestion for us to fill to capacity? Contact us at vicechair@newportbeach.surfrider.org.
We thank you and the Ocean will thank you as well.
