Oceana, Sacred Places Institute for Indigenous Peoples, Surfrider Foundation, and Orange County Coastkeeper cordially invite you to a free-of-charge community-wide public forum on the issue of new federal offshore oil drilling being proposed in the Pacific Ocean.

Taking place in the ancestral homelands of the Tongva and Acjachemen Nations, at the Community Room at the Civic Center, this educational and informative forum will include expert panelists including local and state elected officials, representatives from nonprofit groups, and the local business community.

Panelists will discuss the timing and process of the Executive Order to review and revise the 5 year oil and gas leasing program, Senate Bill 834 and Assembly Bill 1775, are both state legislation that would block infrastructure and make it cost prohibitive to drill off the state of California, and over 50 municipalities along the CA Coastline have passed local ordinances in opposition to expanding oil and gas drilling in Federal waters.
