Our chapter hosts a 2-hour beach cleanup at 9 AM on the first Saturday of each month. We also partner with OC Public Works to host an annual flood control channel cleanup on Earth Day (April) and Coastal Cleanup Day (September). Check our calendar for changes. We supply the bags and gloves. You just need to bring personal items like sunblock.

For our 1st Saturday of the month beach cleanups, we will meet on the beach in front of Prospect Street and Ocean Front Blvd. in Newport Beach. We start at 9 AM and end at 11 AM. Come early as parking can be a challenge. Map of Prospect street. As an option to driving there is a bus stop on PCH just steps away from where we meet on the beach. If you want to ride the bus, find a bus to take by searching for Pacific Coast Hwy & Prospect St, Newport Beach, CA 92663. When summer is here less parking is available. There is public parking (paid) nearby but there are limited spots. You can park across the way on the other side of PCH and walk over but if you arrive early and there isn’t a lot of waves parking should be available near Prospect Street and Seashore Ave. If you drop off volunteers (an outstanding way to go) they must have a signed waiver if they are under the age of 18. Print out, sign and have them bring this waiver. If you are 18 years of age or older you can sign in at the event.
To join in on our Harbor Cleanups meet at Southwind Kayak Center at 100 N Bayside Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660. Please wear water shoes or boots. No sandals allowed. Expect mud. The directions are tricky. When you are on Pacific Coast Highway you turn onto Bayside towards the Dunes. Then it’s your first left. If you don’t know what the Dunes are, see this map. To find a bus route to this location, search for Pacific Coast Hwy & Bayside Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660
