Newport Beach, CA Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

Surfrider Foundation Newport Beach is a grassroots volunteer organization dedicated to the protection of our playground – the ocean, waves, and beaches that provide us so much enjoyment. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the Surfrider Foundation and our chapter and there are many ways to get involved – check out some of the open volunteer opportunities below!

Get to know us! The easiest way to get started is to join us at one of our regularly scheduled beach cleanups, which we typically hold the first Saturday of each month, followed by our Newport Beach Farmer’s Market cleanups typically held on the third Sunday of each month. Check our calendar to confirm exact dates/times.

Open Core Volunteer Positions

Beach Cleanups: We typically hold 1-2 public beach cleanups each month as well as sponsored cleanups.

This critical role allows our chapter to bring our key educational and engagement program to more locations, expanding our impact.
Estimated time commitment: ~3 hours/month. Learn More.
