We typically host our cleanups at two locations: Prospect Beach (map) and lifeguard tower 74 (map), in Newport Beach. However, the location is subject to change, so please check our events calendar for the latest.

For both locations: Parking is available on the street or in paid city parking lots nearby. The location is also easily accessible via the bike path on W Oceanfront and by bus (OCTA Route 1, which has stops on PCH). Look for our blue tent.

Yes, we can sign your volunteer hour sheet. Please bring a form with you.

Pre-registration is not required unless your group is larger than 20 people* or a cleanup posting specifically requires a registration.

*If you plan on bringing a group larger than 20, please email our Cleanups Coordinator Sarah with how many people you expect at beachcleanups@newportbeach.surfrider.org.

We provide gloves and reusable bags but encourage volunteers to bring their own work gloves, trash bag/bucket, and/or reusable water bottle to help reduce waste. We also recommend bringing sun and wind protection/layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, and close-toed shoes.

SPONSOR A CLEANUP

Help protect our ocean, waves and beaches by sponsoring a public cleanup or hosting a private one. Sponsoring a cleanup helps establish your company as a good corporate citizen and encourages brand loyalty. Cleanups also provide employees with a fun, accessible way to engage with their community, as well as strengthen employee team building and morale.
